Supporters of Yulia ,Tymoshenko on Saturday (06/08/2011), began protesting the detention of former Prime Minister of Ukraine, and expressed concern over the dramatic arrest.
A day earlier, the Court of Kiev approve Tymoshenko was arrested for insulting the judiciary in a trial for him. Tymoshenko is in legal proceedings related to allegations of abuse of power. However, he claims, legal proceedings against him is based more upon an act of revenge by his political opponents, namely President Viktor Yanukovych.
On Friday, once out of the court, the opposition leader diagkut by car through the streets Kreshchatyk prisoners in downtown Kiev. At least 100 supporters in Kreshchatyk build 30 tent, near the courthouse. They vowed to remain staged a sit until Tymoshenko freed.
Men's right hand man Tymoshenko, Olexander Turchinov, warned the 2004 uprising known as the Orange Revolution in the square Maidan, Kiev could be repeated. If people come down again to the streets, then Ukraine could have a true government that is handled directly by the people. Tymoshenko, one of the leaders of the Orange Revolution, narrowly lost to his old rival Yanukovych in the presidential election last year. The president has denied involvement in the trial
