In my first time sharing, I would like to share a little about the arts and culture in my opinion. As we know, that culture and art has always been an integral part of the people living in an area. Culture and art became an identity for a nation or tribe.
Here I will not write about the definitions or explanations about the art and culture. Because I'm sure you'll really understand about the definition and understanding of culture and art, but I will further highlight the existence of culture and art in society as an identity. Currently, many people who begin to lose their identity or identities in the sense of culture and art. Lots of young people who are not familiar with the tradition and art that is in their community.
Globalization and advances in technology have a role in the loss of cultural identity of the younger generation. Easy dissemination of information from overseas to make them more familiar with pop culture, and then referred to their cultural identity. I do not menyyalahkan advances in technology, but I deplore the use of inappropriate technology. The advances in technology they use to show their cultural identity and introduce cultural grandeur and tradition they have.
I still feel grateful when I saw Chinese people are still using Chinese characters. I still feel happy when I saw young children playing lion dance and Chinese opera to see the show. Or I still see young Javanese do traditional dance with their graceful dance. Or when I can still see Japanese people are still loyal to their kimono.
Advances in technology should not alter or eliminate the culture and the arts that we have. They are the legacy of our ancestors, we should preserve, so that later we can show our children and grandchildren arts. And not only shows through books and video recordings of the old.
